Elden Ring Nightreign Guide | Where To Find Armament Maintenance Materials
Finding the Armament Maintenance Materials for Duchess isn’t easy, so this guide will walk you through the steps.
Game Guide by Ornstein on Jun 05, 2025
This guide will show you exactly what to do from the moment you open your journal to activate the quest, through the trials of the Gardens of Dew, all the way to collecting those crucial armament maintenance materials.
By following these steps, you’ll avoid costly mistakes—like failing to host your lobby or leaving a match too early—and ensure every victory, whether major or minor, counts toward your remembrance. Approach each stage with patience and confidence, and you’ll have the Duchess Remembrance completed in no time.
Activating the Remembrance
When you begin a remembrance quest, you must first go to your journal and activate the Duchess remembrance before entering matchmaking; otherwise, you will not earn any progress.
If you play with a friend, you can only work on one remembrance at a time, and that progress is tied to the host.
If you and a friend attempt to complete two remembrances simultaneously, only the host’s quest will advance.
Some remembrances require only defeating a boss, but even then, you might find that the remembrance does not track immediately after the boss’s defeat. To avoid this issue, ensure that you are the lobby host whenever you attempt to complete a remembrance quest.
Matchmaking Tips
Servers can be unpredictable, so try to stay online as much as possible during peak hours if you want to finish multiple quest lines quickly. It can take an unusually long time to find a match, which is why some guides take longer to complete.
If you’re working on multiple remembrance quests, plan to be patient and allocate extra time for matchmaking.
Remember that if you back out of a match early (even if you fail to beat the final boss or reach day three), the quest step will not be tracked. You must allow the match to conclude—victory or not—so that your quest progress is recorded correctly.
Finding Upgrade Materials
To complete the Duchess remembrance, you must locate armament maintenance materials. In many cases, you might spawn right next to the required material node.
Look for a special red icon on your map; this indicates the Gardens of Dew, where you can access the upgrade materials as early as day one or revisit on day two to wrap things up.
Some objectives within this remembrance are more complex than others, but for Duchess, it is relatively straightforward. You can reach level two or three of the activity and still complete it effectively.
When you enter the Gardens of Dew, you will face a boss fight that is not very difficult once you know its patterns. After defeating the boss, be sure to proceed to the material node—this is where you’ll pick up the armament maintenance materials.
Once you collect them and the match concludes, you will receive progress for the Duchess remembrance. Make sure you complete the game, as quitting early will prevent tracking.
Completing the Duchess Activity
The Duchess activity itself is not highly challenging; you can focus on upgrading to level two or three and then finish it without too much trouble. Always remember to let the match end naturally—don’t exit before the final wave or boss appears.
Even if you do not beat the day-three boss, as long as the match ends, the quest step will be recorded. After the boss falls, immediately grab the armament maintenance materials and allow the game to finish the current session.
